This is a very simple design that is fast to stitch out and incorporates a very wide angle. Offsetting the rows works for a cross-hatching or diamond design (turn quilt sideways to get vertically oriented diamond cross-hatching).
No offsetting is required with the default setup. No backtracking. To get the cross-hatching effect, you would need to offset every other row at 50%.
If using for a cross-hatched effect, overlap rows slightly so when it stitches out, they met perfectly on the quilt with no gaps. You might have to experiment to see if you'd need a greater or less amount of overlap.
