These designs look great with Batik fabrics! We have been playing with them as raw applique'. You can just lay a square of fabric inside of your setting block (solid or tone on tone fabric) and stitch out your favorite of these designs. We added a thin adhesive first. Then just cut around the outside of the stitching to leave a beautiful Polynesian applique' block! It has been really FUN!
